but I did get some administrative tasks for my financial life accomplished...
banking, insurance stuff *yawn*

and the Christmas tree is 3/4 of the way down...
the S/O is trying to talk me into leaving it up for a Valentine's Day tree tsktsk

posted here & there...now & then...

watched 3 decent movies on the cable :

A Little Trip to Heaven
Firewall
Volcano
( OK, this one was goofy, but lotsa fire and things blowing up )

found an online article about "magnetic nail polish"

wanna see ? .... looks like fun.

Quote :
Makeup house Lancome has a new nail polish called "Le Magnetique"
which is infused with metallic particles.

Before the second coat of varnish dries, holding the bottle's built-in magnet over your nails will align the particles in a star-shaped pattern familiar to anyone who has played with magnets and iron filings.

That is how you do nerdy products for women! (Or, yes, men who wear nail polish.)
Who gives a rat's ass about a pink product when you can get one with extra science?

Rumor has it that this is available at Nordstrom for $17, but I didn't see it on their website.
You can buy it on eBay, but it's 44 bucks, which is a bit nutso.

I think the weather is going to be beautiful next weekend, I'm gonna try to plan a little road trip...
maybe the Denver Art Museum ? ? something...

I'm gonna get the post Holiday / January blues if not careful .... and OUT with all the leftover Holiday candy !!!!

Ran some errands, did some laundry and went grocery shopping.
Watched the Ravens manhandle the Patriots and drove my younger son back to college. Older son is due home tonight from his week in L.A.

I've pretty much had it with the fucking cold and winter already.

I was listening to Cousin Brucie's Oldies Show on the radio last night and Brucie took a call from a guy in Alaska who claimed there was 10 feet of snow on the ground, and that driving on the streets was like driving through hallways. I don't feel so bad after hearing that!

you're right...and actually, we need lots of snow up on the mountains to carry us through the summer
without a water drought

I know how cold weather works. By the time I can get to where I can stand it, it'll be over.
